Sino-Italian International Arts & Design School – Shandong University

 
Accademia Italiana is pleased to announce an important new internationalization project: the establishment of the Sino-Italian International Arts & Design School, developed in partnership with Shandong University of Arts (People's Republic of China).
The initiative is grounded in Chinese legislation on higher education and on Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools, and is based on the principle of mutual benefit and complementary academic strengths between Italian and Chinese expertise.
 

The new School will offer new undergraduate degree programs, designed to bring together the excellence of Italian design and applied arts with the Chinese cultural and industrial context:

- Craft Art (工艺美术)

- Visual Communication Design (视觉传达)

Liu Shiyu oversees the development of the Academy's educational initiatives and institutional partnerships in China. He is responsible for coordinating Sino-Italian collaborative education programs, strengthening relationships with Chinese universities, and supporting international academic exchanges between Italy and China.

Born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, Liu developed a strong artistic foundation through years of formal art training. His passion for visual arts and sculpture led him to Florence, where he continued his artistic education and research in figurative sculpture. Immersed in one of the world's most influential artistic environments, he explored the relationship between classical sculptural techniques, contemporary artistic practice, and creative expression. Combining artistic experience with an international perspective, Liu is committed to promoting cross- cultural dialogue through art education. At Accademia Italiana, he works closely with partner institutions in China to develop collaborative academic programs, facilitate faculty and student exchanges, and create opportunities for Chinese students to engage with international art and design education.

His professional interests focus on international higher education, institutional cooperation, and intercultural exchange. Through his work, he aims to build sustainable partnerships that connect diverse educational communities and encourage the exchange of artistic ideas, teaching methodologies, and creative practices across cultures.

Lynn Guo oversees the development of academic partnerships and international collaborations across Asia. She works closely with universities, cultural institutions, artists, and students to promote international education and strengthen artistic exchange between Europe and Asia.

A curator, and art educator, Guo has extensive experience in artistic practice, exhibition planning, and international cultural cooperation. Over the years, she has participated in the organization and coordination of numerous artistic educational and cultural projects throughout Europe, developing expertise in contemporary art, curatorial practice, and international educational project management.

At Accademia Italiana, she is responsible for planning and coordinating international initiatives across the Asian region, supporting collaborative educational projects, academic mobility, and institutional partnerships. Her work contributes to creating an open and dynamic platform for students, educators, and artists to engage in meaningful intercultural
dialogue.

Guo believes that art education plays a vital role in fostering creativity, cultural understanding, and international collaboration. Through her experience in artistic practice, curating, and educational exchange, she is committed to building lasting connections between different cultural communities and encouraging the sharing of artistic knowledge and creative perspectives.
